Two nights at The Revery, Curio in Toronto. First time in the city, my wife likes Curio properties and location worked. We paid CAD 600 per night (more about that later) and by the time we stayed, prices were CAD 1400 per night. Very central, 10 mins walk from CN Tower and Harbour. They give credit for breakfast - 18 CAD PP - rather than free breakfast. Bar only open till 9pm. Used to be a HGI but beautifully renovated. Had a bit of an issue. Had a 6am wake up call booked to go to the airport (so cases packed). Clever toilets - lid opens as you walk past and then automatically flush and so on. Started overflowing at 10pm and nothing maintenance could do. Levels dropped on their own but toilet out of action overnight. Offered another room on a different floor but not practical so they just refunded one night (which was a decent solution relatively, would rather the toilet worked). Booked a base room and upgraded a couple of weeks out to a junior suite. Floor 17. The stay also took me over a million HH points. First time I’ve had that many.
