- Lounge access
Recently completed an enjoyable 4 nights stay here as a Diamond. I had booked a King Superior Room for a flexible rate of around 400 euro/night (too much!) & subsequently monitored rates only to find flexible rates dropped to around 250 euro/night a few weeks before the stay (much more palatable!). Booked. I then saw a Nor-1 option for a King Deluxe Suite at 80 euro/night, applied for it & waited. Nothing cleared a few days out so I sent a quick e-mail to the front desk asking if they'd confirm the Suite immediately & they did indeed. Happy with that. This property certainly punches above its weight as a Hilton - a lot has been spent on the public areas & the rooms here &, frankly, it's probably the nicest Hilton I've stayed in outside of Asia, where we reside. There were some niggles though; the bedside USB ports on one side of the bed never worked - & "couldn't be fixed, as its an Apple problem"....eh?. The bathroom was obviously not fully refurbed when the hotel was completed. Shower over bath & one sink is sub-par. The breakfast buffet was just "ok" but missed certain pretty standard items (bircher muesli, smoked salmon) but did include items to order (waffles, pancakes etc) for which we never saw a menu, for whatever reason. Service was hit & miss. The Executive lounge, whilst small-ish, was beautifully furnished etc. However, the snack/food offerings were meagre whilst the drinks selection was pretty good (free-pour too). Overall, the location (a short stroll to the old town), style & facilities of this place are outstanding & we'd happily stay again if visiting Dubrovnik.
