Quick 1-night paid stay last Friday (9/24-25) on way out of MSP area. While not luxurious per se, property definitely felt more upscale than typical Sheraton, as belies its Sofitel origins. Pleasantly surprised to find multiple "notch above" accoutrements in the standard King room (comfortable chair with side table large enough to use for both work/laptop and dining, robe, arguably stylish "arty" art, glass door fridge). That said, the exterior is a bit dichotomous: front-facing (including restaurant Lela) to 494 is well-maintained and has some cool architectural features, while rear (where one wing of rooms faces) looks like Ramada from the 80s with industrial bump-out windows and obviously slapped on, mismatched sloppy paint job (where paint remains and hasn't peeled). Lobby bar - in large, central atrium area - remains closed, while Lela is open for full-service breakfast, lunch, and dinner. 1 King room, south-facing (to 494) Bathroom Lounge on 1st floor (lobby is on 2nd) - remains closed at this time
