    DiamondStandard King→King Junior SuiteUpgraded
    • Lounge access

Recently stayed for one night & booked a "Standard King" - upgraded to King Grand Premier I day prior to arrival (due to Mrs NoY Diamond status. Room not ready at around midday so we had lunch at the lobby lounge/cafe, which was very good, & received a text around 1pm to collect our keys. Apparently we'd been allocated a King Junior suite which is the same size as KG Premier we'd originally been allocated but with no Level 45 access (tagged to the room) Instead of a chaise longue in the room a giant leather sofa running the width of the floor-ceiling windows. I'd actually prefer the prior room but no biggie (8/10) Pool a good temp (but needs a re-grout/refurb) & service good at the swim-up pool bar. However service & amenities at The Hub ("Exec Lounge") were pretty poor. Not enough tables (despite available floor space), not enough staff & many empty food stations/bowls etc etc. Awful quality spirits & very basic wines. Only one of the 2 beers was available. Staff pleasant but overwhelmed. We left disappointed & whilst we recognise the gesture of offering Diamonds something it just felt cheap & cack-handed, frankly (6/10). Breakfast at Rosewater was also somewhat underwhelming. Similarly chaotic although the Diamond section was a godsend albeit similarly difficult to achieve decent service given the capacity. 20 minutes to get hot drinks & same for food to arrive from alacarte menu. (6.5/7/10). A manager did ask to see us at checkout to seek feedback which was duly provided. Our feedback was well-received & very professionally dealt with & due "compensation" was offered should we return. Overall it was decent stay but the shortcomings could/should have been anticipated & mitigated rather than offering post-stay mitigation. Overall stay 7 to 7.5/10.

    DiamondKing Executive→King Executive Lake ViewUpgraded
    • Lounge access

First stay in a long time last week. Booked King Executive (on points as paid rates very high & am struggling to burn them) & was pre-upgraded to same but with "Lake View" (pathetic upgrade but I didn't care as was staying there less than 16 hours). Room shows signs of its age (I first stayed around 20 years ago!) but all fine for what it is. Executive lounge was actually very good IMHO & at least as good as I remember from my last stay some years back. Tasty afternoon tea with sandwiches, cakes & scones. Good service. I arrived 20 mins before evening cocktails & secured a good seat. Within half hour of service beginning the place (as expected) was jammed. Very nice selection of salads, hot pasta, chicken, soup, a decent enough cheese board & some tasty cakes. Drinks flowed with beer, 2 reds, 2 whites, sparkling wine etc etc. All-in-all very good, especially with proximity to the KLIA express train (my reason for staying).

    DiamondKing Premium Room→King Panoramic SuiteUpgraded
    • Lounge access

Booked a King Premium Room - pre-upgraded to (the usual) King Executive, then at checkin a King Panoramic Suite. Warmly welcomed back. All good. First stay here since the Executive lounge moved to 3rd floor. The space is great. Open, modern & bright space which still has great views of the river. Service great but the food offering has been paired back in subtle ways for sure. Still "ok" but small things like no Bircher Muesli at brekkie (my favourite) And the salad bar at Afternoon Tea is gone. I would still always book the Exec Rooms if I didn't have status though

Hilton Munich Airport - booked standard King & upgraded the day before to a King Executive Suite. Very nice room. Fresh, modern & well appointed. It's a very comfortable property. I will definitely return.

    DiamondKing Room→King Junior SuiteUpgraded

Recently completed a one night stay here. Disappointing. Upgraded from King Room to King Junior Suite. Room OK, but just a large-ish room with a sofa facing the bed. Bathroom, no bath just shower. Bathroom door filthy with dust around the door panelling & complete with "liquid" stains. Same for pedal bin which was also filthy. Bathroom generally felt somewhat grubby. Bedroom was sufficiently clean. I had asked for someone to service the dirty bathroom at about 6pm on arrival day. They agreed to take care of it whilst we were out. When we returned at 9.40 pm absolutely nothing had been done. Breakfast whilst a la carte was poorly cooked. Small continental selection was ok. But cooked food? Hard dried out bacon & massively over cooked fried eggs (solid!). I fed back upon check out & was offered 10,000 Hilton points which I accepted. I was pleased to move to the Hampton at Toft Green York for 2 nights which is so so much better, shockingly!

DiamondStandard King→Same room as bookedNo upgrade

It's a dump of a place. Booked & received a Standard King. This place needs some serious room maintenance. Bathroom fittings hanging off of the wall, dirty, dilapidated furniture in the rooms. Air conditioning? Forget it - it's a sauna even in October. Dreadful. As for the breakfast - just don't. Cheap & nasty ingredients & couldn't care less staff. As a Diamond I had breakfast included & I just didn't bother after day 1. Sad & pathetic. I suspect the Deluxe rooms are significantly better. At least I hope so. The photos are from the second room I moved to.

Had a very nice stay here last week. Upgraded from Standard King to Executive King. Room spacious & comfortable if a tad dated. Shower & water temperature all good. Very nice executive lounge with a strong selection of hot dishes & very tasty sandwiches & salads, ice cold beers plus the usual wines/spirits. Service from the staff was excellent. No complaints. Only reason I'm at the Garden Inn next time round is my late arrival will negate the ability to use the executive lounge plus it's about 30+ Euro cheaper at HGI.

DiamondKing Guest Room with Courtyard View→King Deluxe River View RoomUpgraded

I stayed here a few weeks ago. It's really quite a nice property but with some negatives to consider. Location is excellent being only 10/12 minutes easy stroll along the river to the heart of the old town. I booked a standard King Guest Room with Courtyard View & was upgraded at checkin to a King Deluxe River View Room. I was surprised & quite impressed with the room which felt more spacious & a little more luxe than the Hilton website indicated. It has clearly had a refresh at some point with very nice seating options (good chair & sofa) & comfy bed/linens. Views from the windows were stunning. There is a rooftop bar which offered stunning vista up & down the river & I enjoyed an ice cold beer & a tasty Club sandwich. Well worth a visit, albeit the weather in early September was superb. Breakfast was, frankly, awful IME. Really basic cheap ingredients. Nothing appealed to be honest. Nasty cubed fruit salad in some kind of syrup, dried out mini cakes/pastries/croissants (why not a decent, full sized croissant?) I asked for fresh cooked fried eggs as the dried out congealed eggs on the buffet were dire. I made some toast (poor bread too) & settled for that. Coffee was meh too (there was a Nespresso style machine in the room FYI). Service in general was friendly & pro-active (apart from breakfast where staff were zombie-like, lol). The rooms are comfortable. Location is great. Bar service, drinks, food very good. Despite the comments about breakfast (just pick & choose very carefully) I do recommend the hotel & would stay again.
