Ambassador EliteStandard room (Free Night Award)→Junior SuiteUpgraded
  • Free breakfast
  • Free parking

Staying at the Westin Waltham (Mass) using my FNA. Upgraded from a standard room to a Jr Suite. We stayed at this Westin 28 years ago to date, looks the same, maybe renovated. Hotel and rooms are clean. Front desk was very nice, she waived the parking fee and upgraded to a Jr. suite. Decided to do the full breakfast buffet rather than the 1000 pts for the welcome gift. We are close to home, but wanted to stay again at this Westin. We were at the Westin Bora Bora few weeks ago, that was amazing.

Ambassador EliteBase standard room→Premium Overwater Villa with plunge pool, sunset viewUpgraded
  • Free breakfast
  • Bottle of wine/champagne
  • Fruit plate / sweets
  • Welcome gift

La Orana (hello in Tahitian) Upon arriving at the Westin boat dock, we were escorted to the front desk, we got fresh orange juice and cold towel to refresh. To my surprise, we got upgraded from a base standard room to the highest level they had (3 or 4 level up), to an oversized Premium overwater villa (owv) with plunge/pool, sunset view, overlooking Mount Otemanu. They answered all the questions we needed to know about the resort. The lady (Marion) then escorted us via golf cart to our owv. FYI, the resort is at 40% capacity, 2 Ambassadors this week, 5-6 Titanium’s. Mostly Americans, some French, and others from other countries. All the staffs speak French, and most (not all) speak English. We spoke French so our conversation went very well and no issue. Our room was amazing, spacious, and clean. You can feel the resort is new, no smell of mildews, just clean fresh air. The resort do have a similarity with Meridien resorts. We got high end champagne, chocolate cake, and snacks for us to enjoy. There is a Nespresso coffee machine if you are a coffee lover. All amenities were there for our needs. The owv pool was refreshing and very relaxing, they use salt water for all the pools at the Westin. The sea dept from our owv unit is about 10-15fts, clear and calm, we could see all the fish under. I did not feel any current. Each room has life jacket/floaters for people who do not swim. We saw a turtle swimming next to our unit, we were told we could encounter black tip sharks, manta rays, stingrays, and other sea life fish. There is a shower located just near the ladder going to the water. Each villa has side walls so the next villa can’t see you, good privacy. Each unit has a blutoooth speakers so you can stream your music inside and on the balcony to listen music, nice touch. If I were to compare the Meridien Maldives and Westin Bora Bora, I feel the Westin is more exclusive, luxurious, and newer, but both are nice.

Ambassador EliteLagoon view room→Overwater Villa (moved after a few days)Upgraded
  • Free breakfast
  • Bottle of wine/champagne
  • Fruit plate / sweets
  • Spa or pool access

Today we checked in at 7:30am at the Marriott Fiji Momi Bay. The resort is about 45mns drive from Nadi airport. Marriott staffs greeted us with traditional tam-tam, put a nice Shell necklace in our neck, and a welcomed us with a delicious cold cocktail drink. They apologized they could not upgrade us to their overwater villa due to unavailability, the resort is completely sold out (start of their peak season), but they said they could get us an overwater villa next week for few days. We accepted their offer. The front desk agent introduced us to their GM, a very nice guy previously from Boston and Virginia. Since we arrived early, our room was not ready, they asked to wait at the lounge or near the pool area. We got to our room at 11am, the room was very nice (lagoon view). We walked and swam around the overwater villas and the lagoon, one drawback the water is definitely not clear and I couldn’t see anything under water with my snorkel mask. Note. If you want to swim with crystal clear water, you can take the boat to another island (Fiji has 300+ islands). As stated on my other review, we got upgraded today from a water view room to an overwater villa at no cost and without using any upgrade award. Our first impression is wow, refer to the pictures. If you book this resort using Bonvoy points, you will get a lagoon view room. You can get upgraded (as Elite) to a lagoon water front bungalow based on availability. Then third level upgrade is the Overwater villa, which is very limited for upgrade or can be a paid upgrade. We were lucky to get an overwater villa today, compliment of the resort. For those of you looking to visit Fiji, consider staying at this resort. We are very happy to be here. Hope my review helps you.

Ambassador EliteBooked room→Corner suite (16th–19th floor)Upgraded
  • Room with a view

Arrived late at the Westin Jersey City. They upgraded me to my usual suite, I generally get between the 16-19th floor the same corner unit (it’s the largest). I know most or all staffs here, and they know me by my last name, relation is important to me. The view to NYC is gorgeous from my room but tonight, we can’t see anything due to the bad weather.

Checked in at the Westin DFW TX. Upgraded from standard room to highest floor Suite (end unit, no other adjacent neighbor rooms). Westin Club lounge is spacious and clean, snacks served after hours. Front desk (Omar) and staffs are just amazing, and thanked me being an Ambassador. Got both welcome gift and full breakfast (w lounge access).
